The Fate & Metabolism Department is growing from strength to strength, both in the number of studies performed and the range of tests available.
An opportunity now exists for a Senior Scientist (Study Director) with experience of Environmental Fate and/or Metabolism (plant and animal) to join a leading environmental testing laboratory. Responsible for managing a variety of studies that are carried out and reported to high scientific standards in compliance with GLP regulations. You will design and conduct environmental fate and/or metabolism studies (plant and animals) in accordance with OECD guidelines.
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • A graduate degree in an appropriate science field (or equivalent experience)
  • Broad scientific knowledge in metabolism and/or environmental fate with 3-5 yrs experience working in industry or CRO.
  • Hands on experience in the areas of environmental fate and/or metabolism. Applicants must have hands-on experience working with 14C radioisotopes with strong HPLC and radio-detection experience along with quantitation/HPLC/LC-MS preferably in the Agrochemical industry.
  • Significant knowledge of regulatory and GLP requirements for metabolism (dietary package) and/or environmental fate.
  • Demonstrated line management experience
  • Client interaction skills as well as excellent verbal, written and organizational skills.
  • The ability to work well with people at all levels of the organisation.
