Smithers Viscient Awarded CIR Approval To 2019

HARROGATE, UK – May 18th, 2017 – Smithers Viscient, a leading global environment and consumer safety contract research organization (CRO), announced today announced today that it has received CIR renewal from the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research (La Ministère de L’Education nationale de l'Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche, MENESR) for 2017 to the end of 2019.

“We are delighted to have received the renewal of the Research Tax Credit, or Crédit d'Impôt Recherche accreditation from the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research,” said Steve Dean, Managing Director, Smithers Viscient Europe. “This represents another way that we work to make ourselves the best possible partner for clients in France and throughout the EU that require our contract research and regulatory services.”

This tax incentive is offered by the French Government to encourage science and innovation. The tax credit covers 30% of all R&D expenditure of subcontracted research activities and will allow eligible research-intensive French companies, who are subject to corporate tax in France, the opportunity to claim tax relief on costs generated in R&D activities that are outsourced to Smithers Viscient.
